Bureaucracy emergency: Companies are calling for easier processes!

The district of Olpe has started an initiative to reduce bureaucracy in particular to relieve small companies. The partners of this initiative are the IHK Siegen, IG Metall Olpe, the employers' association and the Chamber of Crafts Südwestfalen. According to a survey of 415 companies, which was carried out as part of this initiative, it can be seen that 80 percent of the respondents complain about high documentation effort. Smaller companies are particularly affected by these administrative hurdles. Almost half of the companies also report additional costs and high personnel expenses due to the existing bureaucracy.

like Lokalplus can be found frequently mentioned bureaucratic burdens in the areas of construction, traffic and labor law. In addition, around 20 percent of the companies have delayed or even abandoned projects due to bureaucratic hurdles. Against this background, the companies express the desire for increased digitization, better communication with authorities and a better coordination between the municipalities.

digitization as a key to relief

The initiative in the Olpe district is not to be considered isolated. The Federal Government pursues similar goals and is currently developing the fourth bureaucracy relief law. The aim of simplifying, accelerating and reducing the bureaucratia was to simplify administrative processes. Especially the approval of cars, the exhibition of children's passports and the approval of wind turbines require time -consuming administrative processes. From September 2023, for example, car owners can register your car online, which makes personal walk to the registration office superfluous.

The federal government also relies on digitization to increase efficiency and drastically reduce paper consumption in the federal authorities. In 2022, consumption was 750 million sheets per year. 7p solutions emphasizes that the change in paper files to electronic files and the integration of electronic communication channels and the integration of sustainability criteria the procurement are decisive steps towards a modern administration.

a central point of contact for bureaucracy issues

In Olpe, district director Philipp Scharfenbaum will act as a central contact for bureaucracy. His goal is to establish service -oriented administrative work with fast, digital procedures. He emphasizes that the large set screws for these changes are at state, federal and EU levels. Important measures, such as the identification of bureaucratic obstacles as part of the EU-wide ecological transformation, support these efforts.

The first positive examples already show that digital processes can make facilities for companies. Companies are looking forward to the prospect of better cooperation with the authorities and to process the bureaucratic hurdles in detail.
