New tavern in Olpe: Bavarian cosiness returns!
In Olpe, a new gastronomic concept is realized that connects the tradition of Bavarian taverns with a modern flair. The “Starnberger Wirtshaus” will open its doors at the end of March or early April 2025, such as . The managing director Stefanie Schulz, who moved to Olpe two and a half years ago, will work together with the well -known Munich restaurateur Aleksandar Vulic, who has already operated several successful restaurants in Munich
The premises of the new tavern are located in a listed brick villa that has been closed since the end of 2024. The renovation work has already started; The fishing base in the counter area was sanded and sealed, while the former wooden floor is replaced by new planks. The structural measures ensure that the building keeps its historical outdoor view, while a cozy, authentic tavern experience is created inside. The Starnberg inn will offer 90 places, with the guest room being designed with a seamless exposed concrete floor in the entrance area and wood in the remaining areas. A special feature will be a copper boiler for storing the tank beer, which is installed in order to optimally get the taste of the beer. The serious beers include "Starnberger Hell", "Starnberger Weisse" and various products from the Krombacher brewery, which has been the main tenant of the building since 1989 and also has minority shares in the nearby Starnberg brewery. The menu of the tavern will include typical Bavarian dishes, including hearty options such as snacks, roast pork, cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarrn. There is also a special children's card. In the future beer garden system, it is also paid to quality, which is designed by domestic craftsmen. A small children's playground is also planned. In order to make the opening successfully, Stefanie Schulz is actively looking for staff and invites interested parties to imagine on site on February 5. The opening times of the tavern are scheduled for Wednesday to Friday from 5 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m.
In the region, the Starnberg inn will be the first gastronomy to implement such a concept. At the same time, the Benedictine tavern in Attendorn opens, which also follows a similar Bavarian inn concept. Sauerlandkurier refers to the striking location of both taverns and the political celebrity, the historical Band made visible between Bavaria and the Sauerland. With the Starnberg inn, Olpe not only brings a new culinary offer, but also a piece of Bavarian inn culture to the region. The concept is also supplemented by the listed ambience and the planned culinary experiences. Details unique gastronomy concept
