Olpe's primary school proudly presents the first Tiny Forest!

On April 30, 2025, the primary school on Hohenstein in Olpe took a special step towards ecological education. The region's first “Tiny Forest” was presented here. This innovative initiative is aimed at the students and should give them a practical understanding of nature and the environment. The event, which started at 11:27 a.m., attracted numerous visitors who found out about the project.

The event was recorded by Gerd Heuel in pictures that show the enthusiasm of the participants and the impressive design of the forest. Pedagogical specialists in the school emphasized the importance of such projects in the present day, where environmental protection and sustainability are increasingly in focus.

preparation for the new school year

The new school beginners receive their admission confirmations in the week after the presentation of the Tiny Forest. This is done at a time when school operations in Olpe are temporarily interrupted due to the upcoming May Day on May 1st and a movable holiday day on May 2nd. Parents are in particular called to register immediately in the SDUI app.

The confirmation of admission contains a registration code for the SDUI app and a password that is required to access the school beginners. This taskcard gives new students the opportunity to call up important content and information. The new telephone number of the primary school is 02761-8357871, under which interested parties can report at any time.

ecological education and future orientation

The elementary school on Hohenstein shows a strong commitment to an environmentally conscious education with the creation of the Tiny Forest. This project is in accordance with the recommendations of the Conference of Ministers of Education, which informs about this in a detailed document ( KMK ). Such initiatives help to raise awareness of pupils to topics such as biodiversity and ecology.

The primary school plans to continuously supplement current dates for the school year 2024/2025 and make it available to the families in order to promote close cooperation between school and parents. With this transparent communication you want to strengthen the school family and promote inclusion.
