Spielmannszug Olpe: donated 3,500 euros for musical talents!

On March 23, 2025, the Olpe Spielmannszug handed over a remarkable donation of a total of 3,500 euros to two local facilities, the Aline house and the Josefshaus. The donation is divided into two amounts of 1,750 euros and is intended to support the early musical education in these facilities, such as Lokalplus . The decisive focus is on promoting the musical talents of children and adolescents, which can often not be fully promoted by the regular daily rate.

The feedback from the recipients is consistently positive. The Josefshaus expressed great pleasure about the care, but also emphasizes the need that many talents need additional funding. The goal of the donation is clear: to enable the further development of the musical skills of the children and adolescents and thus lay a foundation for future musical careers.

Community commitment for the youth

The Olpe Spielmannszug not only sees itself as a musical community, but also as a socially committed association. Members who are at the age of 12 to over 60 years of age maintain harmonious coexistence and regularly organize youth trips and autumn hikes. These activities promote cohesion within the club and make the sense of community strong.

Another goal of the association is closer cooperation with the house Aline and the Josefshaus. Both facilities were invited to get to know the association on site. These joint activities also include the plan that mothers can visit the Spielmannszug with their children. The entire musical education comprises three one -year blocks, with the third year aiming to participate in supplementary subjects such as "recorder" or "percussion groups", depending on the inclination and development of the child. The children have a trial period of three months and the weekly lessons comprise 45 minutes. The monthly teaching fee is 24.00 euros, and the registration deadline is June 18th.
