Paderborn Osterlauf breaks records: 14,000 participants from 66 countries!

On Holy Saturday, April 19, 2025, Paderborn experienced the 77th edition of the Paderborn Easter Run, which is considered the oldest street run in Germany. This year, the number of participants with over 14,000 runners crossed a new record, which is a leap up increase compared to the previous year when 12,794 athletes started. The diverse group of participants came from 66 nations, which underlines the international attraction of the event.

A striking feature of the Easter run is the young person and the broad distribution of age of the participants. The runners between the ages of 5 and 90 were, which illustrates the accessibility and the inclusive concept of the event. Among the registrations were almost 3,000 participants for the half marathon, an increase of 40 percent compared to the year before.
