The event not only served as a prelude to the new season, but also as a platform for future water sports activities. In August of this year, the Pöppinghauser Wassersport days are coming up, which will take place from August 5th to 7th. Under the direction of Michael Goerke, who is also known as "Sepp", children and young people will experience a varied program.

The positive feedback from the participants of the Casterix holiday program illustrates the interest in such events. Activities such as swimming, paddling and motorboat are on the agenda. In addition, a small course is set up to explain the basics of water sports.

The competition on Friday is particularly gratifying, in which the young participants receive time measurements and receive certificates for their performance. The physical well -being is also taken care of: offers such as sausages from the grill, currywurst with fries and fruit are provided.

The event is rounded off by a harbor tour with the AMC training boat, in which social welfare Manfred Reetz lets the participants share in the beauties of the Rhein-Herne Canal. These activities are also characterized by the positive community experience, which is supported by the use of helpers and supervisors, and have already received many positive feedback.
