Swimmers bring best times: Successes at the autumn swimming festival in Bergheim!

The swimmers of SG Rhein-Sieg showed impressive performances at the championships in the sports park North on the first weekend in February. From 1 to February 1, 2025, the team competed with four participants, who swam all the best times and reached excellent placements. These successes could be an important step towards qualification for the next NRW championships.

Nora Neumann from the 2015 vintage achieved first place in the 200m discipline with a time of 3: 35.00 minutes. In addition, she was able to achieve impressive times on the 200m breast, 400m freestyle and other disciplines. Her teammates, Jona Kühne and Tamino Spahn, who dates from the 2013 vintage, also achieved significant placements, including Jona with second place in the 200m breast.

The SG Rhein-Sieg coaching team enthusiastically commented on the achievements of all active people. In particular, the best times of the swimmers hope that they can qualify for the NRW level in all-around. These competitions are crucial for the promotion of young talents and a good basis for participating in national championships.

Another outstanding competition took place from October 13th to 15th, 2023 in Bergheim, where the SG Rhein-Sieg took part in the autumn swimming festival with 22 swimmers. There were long distances on the agenda, in which numerous personal bests were set up. Particularly noteworthy are the services of Marc, Nele and Tamina over the 400m layers and Tobias over the 1500m freestyle.

A total of 122 individual starts were recorded in this event, which underlines the high activity and commitment of the participating swimmers. The multitude of medals and best times reflect the talent and the hard work of the athletes. These local competitions are an important basis for development in swimming and offer the athletes valuable competition experience.
