The organizers, the association for the promotion of art & culture in Bad Honnef e.V., are committed to a deeper examination of social problems and their artistic reflection with this exhibition. The focus on art and philosophy reflects the need to deal with ethical questions in today's world
The origin and development of applied ethics, which began in the 1970s as a partial discipline of philosophical ethics, illustrates the relevance of such topics. This ethics aims to offer orientation in everyday life, especially with regard to current challenges such as climate change and genetic engineering, as reported by the online magazine philosophy.ch. The discussion about the role of art in society and its ethical borders has again gained importance through the current exhibition.
