Carnival magic in Burscheid: Sold out hall celebrates pure mood!

On March 2, 2025, an exuberant carnival celebration of the Ösinghausen (TBÖ) gymnastics association took place in the gymnasium on Weidenweg in Burscheid. The event was sold out with around 200 guests in colorful costumes, which underlined the high demand for tickets. Organizer Patrick Lüppens, an active member of the association for 25 years, was pleased with the great response. The pre -sale began a month ago and the changes in the event concept, which were introduced ten years ago to address younger visitors, show significant effect.

Versatile offer of the gymnastics association

Apart from the celebrations during the carnival season, the TBÖ offers a variety of other sports facilities. This includes martial arts, volleyball, table tennis and fitness courses. A few weeks ago, a new rehab sports course was introduced, which can be attended without a medical regulation. If the demand is high enough, it is possible to further expand the rehabilitation sports offer.

The voluntary commitment is very important in Berlin's sport. Over 60,000 volunteers are active, which is an important part of club life. The State Sports Association Berlin (LSB) and the Feuerocietät Berlin-Brandenburg have redesigned the election of the "volunteers of the year" in order to publicly appreciate the performance of the committed helpers. The award takes place as part of the annual LSB Honorary Gala, and the winners can look forward to premiums of up to 1,500 euros.
