Dr. Schulte leaves the Pfi: lack of unity leads to separation!

dr. Kerstin Schulte leaves the Test and Research Institute (PFI) in Pirmasens after working as a managing director since February 1, 2013. Their long -term leadership has significantly shaped the development of the institute. Pfi chairman Michael Tackenberg thanked Dr. Schulte for their commitment and the valuable impulses for the development of the PFI. The decision to separate is based on different ideas about the future strategic direction of the institute.

Interimistic Michael Tackenberg will take over the management of the PFI until a successor can be found. The institute continues to plan to continue its core competencies such as checking and certification in the usual quality and at the same time to promote the internationalization of its activities. A total of 170 employees are currently employed at PFI, 100 of them in Pirmasens and 70 in Asia.

a path portrayed

dr. Kerstin Schulte prevailed from twelve applicants to take over the position of the institute management. In a selection process that started in November 2012, she was finally appointed the new managing director with the support of the board, including Ralph Rieker. Before that, she directed the chemical-analytical department, the lowest income department of the PFI. as Dr. Schulte entered the institute management in February 2013, she was primarily responsible for progressive further development and continuity on the PFI. Dr. Gerhard Nickolaus, the managing director of the time, supported her and took care of the Pfi offices abroad. The board welcomed the decision, Dr. To appoint school and emphasized their high qualifications.

strategic orientation and future

The separation from Dr. Schulte not only means a change of leader, but also takes a look at the future strategic orientation of the PFI. Michael Tackenberg emphasizes the need to advance the initiated internationalization and to expand the expertise in the traditional areas. The PFI has positioned itself as a future -oriented institute that focuses on adapting to the global requirements.

The previous successes and impulses that Dr. Schulte set during her term of office form the basis for future developments. For the PFI, it will now be crucial to continue the course chosen and at the same time develop innovative strategies in order to gain further market shares. Institutional stability in Pirmasens is a fundamental factor.
