The former Bundesliga goalkeeper Wolfgang "Teddy" de Beer died at the age of 60. Death occurred on December 30, 2022, as Borussia Dortmund announced on New Year's Day. Wolfgang de Beer was most recently employed as a fan representative at Borussia Dortmund. He moved from MSV Duisburg to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 1986, where he stayed actively until 2001 and played a total of 217 competitive games. In the early years he was gate goalkeeper, later he resigned behind Stefan Klos and Jens Lehmann. career and success
de Beer was born in Dinslaken and played a game for the German U21 national team. After his active career, he took on the role of goalkeeper coach at Borussia Dortmund and switched to fan care in 2018.
