Oberhausen cleans up: Take part in the large garbage collection campaign!
The largest garbage collection campaign, the spring cleaning in Oberhausen, is planned for March. From 22. Until March 29 , the city is calling up the citizens to actively participate in order to improve the cleanliness and quality of life in their surroundings. The participants have the opportunity to choose their individual collecting areas, be it in their neighborhood, in a park or on a playground. The WBO (Oberhausen Wirtschaftsbetriebe) provides the necessary materials such as warning vests, gloves, gripping tongs and garbage bags. Full garbage bags are picked up by the WBO after the action.

A special highlight of this year's spring cleaning is the guided tours that are also offered. These should not only give the participants the opportunity to collect garbage, but also to learn more about city history. There are a total of three guided tours to choose from:
- Oberhausens Alte Mitte
- History of the colliery and Kokerei Osterfeld
- hike through Sterkrade
The first tour takes place on 22. March at 2 p.m. and the last two tours take place on 18. March and 29. March instead with start at 3 p.m. or 2 p.m. .
