Price increases in the Palatinate: It will be so expensive for you in 2025!
In 2025 there are some changes in the front and south Palatinate for fees and energy prices. According to swr Aktuell remains the energy prices in Ludwigshafen, Speyer, Speyer, Bad Dürkheim and Landau stable or fall. The technical works of Ludwigshafen (TWL) will not increase the prices for electricity and gas, which benefits around 170,000 customers. In Speyer and Bad Dürkheim, the municipal utilities will reduce gas and electricity prices on January 1, 2025, whereby households in Bad Dürkheim can expect savings of around 70 euros annually. Energy Südwest in Landau also reduces the prices for electricity and gas, with three -person households being able to save several hundred euros per year.
While energy prices are falling, however, there are climbs in the wastewater fees in some regions of the Palatinate. The Wirtschaftsbetriebe Ludwigshafen (WBL) increase the wastewater fee from 1.75 euros to 1.90 euros per cubic meter. In Speyer, the fee increases from 1.39 euros to 1.93 euros, and the municipality of Landau-Land raises its set from 2.43 euros to EUR 2.60 per cubic meter. In addition, the drinking water price is increased from 1.97 euros to EUR 2.18 per cubic meter.

The garbage fees also increase in Landau and Ludwigshafen. In Landau, the emptying of the smallest garbage can is raised every two weeks to just under 14 euros, while the cost of the smallest bio bin increases from just under seven euros to around 11.40 euros. In Ludwigshafen, the garbage fees are increasing moderately, which means annual additional costs of around 12 euros for single -family houses. In the Rhine-Palatinate district, however, the garbage fees remain stable.
In addition to the fee adjustments, there are also price increases in the admission prices in the Landau Zoo, which will apply from January. Adults then pay 12 euros (previously 10.50 euros), children 5.50 euros (plus one euro). Family tickets cost 17 euros for three people (previously 14.50 euros) and 29 euros for larger families (so far 25 euros). The Holiday Park in Haßloch will also increase its admission prices, with the exact amounts being announced in January.
In addition, the cemetery fees in Ludwigshafen increase considerably. The price of an earth burial is raised to just under 1,050 euros (previously around 950 euros). The urn burial now costs 485 euros (plus almost 40 euros), and the crematorium's crematorium is more expensive.
Wie Focus Online reported that several municipalities in Germany also plan to increase price increases from January 2025, which also affect garbage disposal, drinking water, dog tax and leisure activities. The costs for the garbage disposal should increase, among other things, due to increased personnel and energy costs, while a CO2 tax of 55 euros per tonne is also valid from January.
