Premiere of Mind Murder: Exciting crime comedy inspires spectators!

On March 8, 2025, the play "Middle Murder" celebrated its premiere in the renowned Theater an der Kö in Düsseldorf. The stage was sparsely equipped, with white fabric railways, a pedestal and stylized chalk drawings of clothes. Despite the minimalist design, a cheerful audience filled the rows and ensured a lively atmosphere.

The focus of the piece is Martin Lindow, who embodies the role of Björn Diemel. In a yellow overall and with a mask, he announces: "That was my first murder". Diemel is a Biederer lawyer who appears in a checkered suit with a tie and gets into a whirlpool of drug trafficking, weapon shops and gang wars. Surprisingly, he has to keep the upper hand between rival clans while being perceived as a "Bäh lawyer".

The action and characters

The crime comedy is based on Karsten Dusse's bestseller novel, which has been on the bestseller list for over 144 weeks since its publication in 2020. The piece is produced by Euro-Studio Landgraf and can be seen until February 10, 2024. The version was edited by Bernd Schmidt and the direction takes over Pascal Breuer.

In the course of the action, Diemel visits a mindfulness seminar at the coach Joschka Breitner at the urge of his wife Katharina. There he becomes a model student and finds solutions for his private and professional problems. But the real turn takes the story when Diemel plans to murder the Mafiaboss Dragan Sergowicz to win more time for his family.
