traffic safety in focus

traffic safety is a central topic in Germany. According to Destatis , the results of the road traffic accident statistics serve as the basis for various measures in legislation, in traffic education as well as in road construction and in vehicle technology. These statistics are designed to provide comprehensive, current and comparable data on the traffic safety situation.

The data includes information on accidents, involved, vehicles and the specific causes of accidents. In addition, they are also used to carry out a cross -transport branch risk analysis and to support state transport policy. This is particularly important to develop infrastructure and traffic safety policy.
