New wind with the police: Kirschner and Schäfer take over key positions!
On February 6, 2025, André Kirschner is the new deputy head of the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler police inspection. At the age of 46, he brings an extensive experience into the position as chief police commissioner. Kirschner succeeds Andreas Schäfer, who recently took over the management of the office. The greeting took place in a solemn round, in which criminal director Ralf Durben, the chairman of the local staff council, as well as police chief commissioner Pascal Rowald and Andreas Schäfer took part.
Kirschner returns to the police inspection, in which he was already working as an absence representative of the service group management. Before he returned, he served in various police authorities, including in Wittlich-Wengerohr, Remagen and Mayen. He worked as a service group leader in Adenau and Mayen and was also employed by the Koblenz police headquarters. In his new office, he brings a wide range of experiences and knowledge from different areas of application.
The development of Andreas Schäfer
Andreas Schäfer, 42 years old, followed in August 2023 Frank Hitzelberger, who retired. Schäfer was deputy company manager in Bad Neuenahr from 2013 to 2018 and thus brings a valuable return with extensive experience to inspection. He had previously trained and served in Mainz and Koblenz. After his time in Remagen, he returned to the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler police inspection and took over the service group management in Adenau.
Structure of the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler police inspection
The Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler police inspection is part of a comprehensive hierarchical structure within the police, which is organized at the state and federal level. This organization includes both the supervisory authorities and the various police stations that cover specific geographical areas of responsibility. The organization of the police is designed to create efficient security structures, whereby each area has specific responsibilities and working within a larger system of police authorities. The Supreme State Authority organizes the police authorities through ordinances, which in this special case also has validity for the police inspection in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.
The new management positions at the police inspection promise intensive cooperation and exchange between the leaders. With the return of Kirschner and the appointment of Schäfer, a strong leadership structure is established that should be up to the challenges in an important area of application.
