In the night of January 8, 2025, a 32-year-old driver was stopped during a traffic control. The control took place around 00:40 in Kölner Strasse. During the review, the police found that the driver had no valid driving license and also drunk and were at the wheel under the influence of narcotics. A blood sample was arranged and corresponding legal steps were initiated. The Neuwied/Rhein Police Directorate informed about the incident at 02:39 a.m.
This incident is not isolated. In 2022, drug crime in Germany shows an increase in how the police statistics show.
