16,000 euros for nature: green classroom and trim-dich path are modernized!

An important step for the local recreation areas in Alzey was announced today. As part of the “Readers” campaign of the Allgemeine Zeitung Alzey and the Rotary Club Alzey, an impressive sum of over 16,000 euros could be collected, which benefits the renovation of the green classroom and the trim-dich path. These funds now enable the urgently needed renovation work in the popular local recreation area, which serves numerous daycare centers, schools and other groups as a place of education and recreation. Mayor Steffen Jung was enthusiastic about the result and praised the support of the citizens and institutions.

The funds should first be used for the repair of the green classroom. Not only new furniture and information boards are planned, but also a comprehensive upgrading of the entire area. It is particularly gratifying that the trim-dich path, which has existed for around 50 years and was originally launched by the Rotary Club, is also to be renewed. Discussions to implement the modernization plans are already being planned and will take place with everyone involved in the coming weeks.

renovation of the town hall "Gut Stubb"

Another big project in Alzey is the renovation of the town hall "Gut Stubb". The city administration has created a renovation concept that was approved in December. The work is expected to begin in February. Due to strict fire protection requirements, the use of the building is currently severely restricted, which should change after the renovation has been completed. Larger events could then take place again without obstacles.

The redesign of the rooms provide for creative uses, including the construction of an ice cream parlor and the creation of additional office space on the upper floor. In order to secure the project financially, the city provides funds, which means that the project should become economically viable.

renovation of the TuS Heimersheim Halle

In addition to the town hall, the hall of TuS Heimersheim is also being renovated. For this purpose, Mayor Steffen Jung has already given the association a first funding notice of over 39,000 euros. The planned measures include an energetic renovation of the roof, the exchange of the windows and the modernization of heating and ventilation technology. This renovation is not only important for sports, but also contributes to strengthening community activities in the region.

The city is therefore based on future -oriented solutions and would like to receive important meeting points for the community. The measures are intended to ensure that the facilities adapt to today's requirements and at the same time make a contribution to improving the social infrastructure.

The fact that such projects can be carried out successfully is true, among other things, by the support of the federal government. As part of the program "Refurbishment of municipal institutions in the areas of sports, youth and culture", the budget committee of the German Bundestag has decided 68 municipal projects for funding. 200 million euros from the economic plan of the climate and transformation fund are provided with the challenges of the renovation in many municipalities. This great commitment on different levels shows how important and valuable the promotion of institutions of social infrastructure for the communities is.
