Terrible rear -end collision on the A63: Two dead in tragedy!

On January 4, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the A63 motorway in the direction of Kaiserslautern. The incident took place between the Wörrstadt and Biebelnheim junctions in the jam area and affected two cars that were involved in a rear -end collision. In the accident, a person was injured and received medical care on site by the emergency services.

The emergency services, including the police, emergency services and fire brigade, were quickly on site. The fire brigade secured the scene of the accident and regulated the traffic by establishing side road closures. In addition, measures were used to control and professional binding from leakage materials. After supporting the emergency services in the care of the injured person, the fire brigade cleaned the roadway. After the clean -up work was completed, the site was handed over to the police. Traffic disabilities occurred during the entire mission, whereby the roadway was only released after the necessary measures.

A similar serious accident occurred on October 23, 2024 on the A63 motorway in the direction of Mainz near Saulheim. A Fiat Ducato with a trailer as well as an Opel Combo and a Mercedes van was involved. The driver of the Fiat had parked his vehicle on the hard shoulder when two inmates of the Opel, aged 45 and 58, tried to look after the Fiat driver. A 33-year-old driver of a Mercedes transporter drove into the standing vehicles, which led to the overload of his vehicle. Despite immediate resuscitation measures at the accident site, both inmates of the Opel died.
The Fiat driver and the person who caused the accident were seriously injured and taken to the hospital, while rescue and police helicopters were called to support. The public prosecutor's office in Mainz commissioned an expert to clarify the course of the accident and initiated an investigation into negligent killing against the driver of the Mercedes. The A63 was completely closed until 7:40 p.m. during the accident recording and cleaning up. Witnesses were asked to contact the Heidesheim motorway police to provide information about the incident.
