Preparations for the upcoming highlight in the Bad Dürkheim wine calendar are in full swing. On February 15, 2025, the Dürkheim wine core will take place in the refectory basement of the Limburg monastery ruin. This event not only promises to become a festival for the senses, but also a deep examination of the topic of wine.

The wine sensor Steffen Michler will introduce the wines that evening and respond to the question: "What does Limburg have to do with wine?" This makes the connection to the monastery ruin clear, which celebrates its 1000th anniversary in 2023. The event not only takes place in a historical framework, but also takes the opportunity to shed light on the traditional connection between wine and monastery.

This wine -growing is particularly worth mentioning, since the last wine core in Bad Dürkheim was held in the Brunnenhalle in 2020. In the meantime, however, there was a need to handle the event in the form of an online edition during corona pandemic. Therefore, the organizers expect great interest in returning to a physical event.
