30 years of family center: a festival for Bad Kreuznach's families!

The family center of the International Bund (IB) in Bad Kreuznach celebrated its 30th anniversary last Friday. Around 200 families are currently looked after by around 80 employees who take care of their concerns and questions. The celebrations took place at the seat of the family center on Lina-Hilger-Straße and attracted many representatives from politics and society. Former director Annette Grün and the former mayor Martina Hassel were honored for her special merits. In a ceremony, the positive development of the house was emphasized and the valuable work of the team was recognized.

The celebration of the anniversary illustrates the important status of taking family centers in the region. These centers, which also include the family center in Bad Kreuznach, have the goal of creating the same development and educational opportunities for all children in the district. In the past three years, eight family centers in the district have been set up, which have received a positive response from families and whose support services are often used.

In addition to Langenlonsheim, the Langenlonsheim family center also looks after the surrounding communities such as Laubenheim, Bretzenheim, Guldental, Windesheim and Rümmelsheim.

An important component of the offers are the consultations that are expanded as part of the network work in the social area. Alexandra Foerster, specialist for parent advice in the family center, has been offering changing consultation hours in the daycare centers since April 2023. These discussions deal various topics, including development, upbringing, partnerships as well as life crises and separations. Expert support is therefore always available to help families in challenging living situations.
