In order to check the feasibility of the State Garden Show, a Cologne landscape architecture firm was commissioned to create a corresponding study. Preliminary events have already taken place to actively involve the citizens in the process. Another important step is the approval of the city council for application, because the application documents must be submitted in Mainz by March 15, 2025 at the latest.

Citizens' participation and urban development

The participation of the population is considered the central component of the application process. Participants of the previous events received an overview of the opportunities that the State Garden Show brings with it for urban development. Interactive stations in the hands -on portal enable citizens to contribute their opinions and ideas. Mayor Emanuel Letz emphasized the importance of this participation in order to develop an application that meets the needs of the city. The aim is to strengthen the city center, to promote tourism and to improve the city's climate silence.

The city council decided on February 29 to commission the feasibility study, which was awarded to the Cologne landscape architecture firm RMP Stephan Lenzen on September 3. The city expects a rating commission to visit Bad Kreuznach by the end of the second quarter of 2025 at the latest. The decision on the contract for the State Garden Show 2032 is scheduled to be made by the country's Ministerial Council in the summer of 2025.

Bad Kreuznach is therefore actively involved in the application process for the State Garden Show 2032, whereby further formats for integrating the population will be planned in the coming months. This process should not only actively involve citizens, but also develop a clear vision for urban development at the State Garden Show.
