Large fundraising campaign: Collected almost 25,000 euros for children with cancer!

At the New Year's reception in Gauersheim, impressive 25,000 euros in donations were handed over to various social projects. This sum was mainly created by the Advent bazaar and the musical "high to Ross", which took place in the Steuerwald riding hall. The event, which took place on November 22nd and 23rd, 2024, was not only a cultural highlight, but also a significant contribution to promoting aid projects.

The donation boxes of the association "Children with Cancer Mainz" association were opened at the event, with a total of 17.201.63 euros counted. In addition to this sum, an additional 5,500 euros came from the proceeds of the Advent bazaar, so that the representative of the Mainz Association, Andrea Grimme, was able to accept a total of around 22,700 euros.

support projects

Part of the donations also flowed into social projects. For example, the Kirchheimbolander Haus for Vergiss-Mein-not received 1,500 euros, which Gabriele driver and Nathalie were accepted. The fire brigade support association contributed 200 euros, while 400 euros went to the Prader-Willi syndrome living group in Bad Sobernheim. These donations collected meant a big step in the support of affected children and their families.

parallel to the New Year's reception, a musical performance was prepared with “ABBA 2nd part”, which triggered great anticipation. Petra Steuerwald, the organizer, started rehearsals weeks ago. The ensemble, consisting of dancers, musicians and riders, prepared intensively for the performances. Among the contributors were Kalli Koppold and Mark Landfried, who took part in a riding crash course.

Invitation to participate and support

Fritz Müller, the former stud manager, will not only diverse at the event, but also sing one of the popular ABBA songs. In addition to the performances of the ponies and the Göllheim wind group, artists from the Pepperoni circus will also appear for the audience and the audience awaits a more colorful afternoon. Admission to the performances is free, which is another incentive to participate and support the support association for tumor and leukemia-suffering children.

The event in Gauersheim impressively shows how cultural and community activities can be linked to support social concerns. Last year together with the Advent bazaar, a sum of 20,000 euros was collected, and it is to be hoped that this trend will continue in the coming season. The use of creative approaches and innovative technologies could also help to further increase the success of future benefit events, such as FundraisingBox emphasized.
