Rescue guards in the district of Bad Kreuznach: Construction continues!

The latest developments to build new rescue guards in the Bad Kreuznach district show various challenges and delays. As the Rhein-Zeitung , the construction of the new facilities has been significantly delayed. This was recently discussed by District Administrator Bettina Dickes in a district council meeting. The rescue guards in Bad Sobernheim, specifically on Breslauer Straße, are currently localized. A location for Kirn has not yet been determined.

Responsibility for the construction lies with the emergency services authority of the Mainz-Bingen district. In her speech, Dickes expressed concerns about the negative development in the health sector, in particular due to the bankruptcy of the DRK clinics in Rhineland-Palatinate. This situation could have far -reaching implications for emergency care in a circle.

emergency services in change

The current situation in the emergency services is not just a local problem. As in a new epaper of the Bifg , there are extensive reform proposals for emergency and acute care in Germany. The aim of these reforms is to create modern and need -based hospital care.

The suggestions provide adjustments in the structures of the emergency services in order to meet the increasing requirements. In recent years, the use of the emergency services has increased significantly, which has also led to higher hospital admissions and costs.

regional differences and challenges

A central topic of the reform discussion are the regional differences in the use of emergency services. The analysis is based on data from the Barmer from 2022, and shows that the use of rescue agents varies greatly, both per 1,000 inhabitants and in terms of case costs.

  • about a third of the patients used the emergency services more than once in 2022, which was two thirds of all cases.
  • The massive regional differences are particularly striking, even with multiple users.
  • A deeper analysis of multiple use shows significant relationships with the need for care and a low level of income.

These current knowledge and reform proposals come in a critical moment, especially considering the delays in the new building of important rescue guards in the district of Bad Kreuznach. It remains to be seen how things will go.
