Serious accident on Rügen: 66-year-old ends up in the wastewater ditch!

On December 29, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred on the L 296 on the island of Rügen. According to the police headquarters in Neubrandenburg, a 66-year-old German driver of a car from Volvo came to the right from the road due to unknown cause. Here he ran over two guidelines and finally landed in a sewage ditch.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. The driver was seriously injured in the incident and had to transport to the Helios Clinic of Stralsund with an ambulance, where he was hospitalized. The property damage is estimated at around 20,000 euros, and the vehicle was no longer ready to drive after the accident and had to be towed. The message about the accident was sent on the same day at 4:06 p.m.
