Full closure of the B 420: Important construction work for Wörrstadt announced!

From July 7, 2025, the B 420 near Wörrstadt will be locked for several months. This reports near news . The complete blocking will probably be continued until Christmas 2025 and is a measure for comprehensive roadway renewal and the conversion of the confluence with B 420 / L 401 into a new roundabout.

The planned roundabout will have an outside diameter of 38 meters. The first work focuses on the section of the B 420 (Pariser Straße), which ranges from the confluence with B 420 / L 401 to the Penny supermarket. This work is specially scheduled for the summer vacation 2025, since the road will be closed from July 7th to August 15, 2025 and a construction period of around four weeks is planned.

In addition, further roadway renovations between the planned roundabout and the confluence with B 420 / L 401 (Nieder-Olm branch) are planned. These measures are carried out during the autumn holidays from October 13 to 24, 2025. The construction work is organized so that there are no parallel work, which should optimize the traffic load. The state company Mobility (LBM) Worms will regularly inform the public about the progress of the construction sites. This leads to improved security and better traffic conditions for all road users.

In addition, the LBM Worms plans from the end of May and early June to the end of 2025 road renovations and the expansion of two confluence into circular walks on the B 420 between Wörrstadt and Undenheim. The current projects also include considerable damage to around 3 km of the B 420, which has bumps and cracks. The measures for renovation begin with a full closure that will take about five weeks and should combine the districts efficiently. The budget for this work is around 1 million euros, with the aim of improving the street infrastructure and increasing traffic safety.

The planning and implementation of this extensive construction work represents an important measure to maintain the roads and is a step towards an improved traffic connection in the region.
