Knife attack in Bernkastel-Kues: 16-year-old seriously injured!

In late Friday afternoon, January 3., 2025, there was a knife attack on a 16-year-old on the Forum Square in Bernkastel-Kues. The youth who had previously left an Edeka market was verbally threatened by two men.

The situation escalated when one of the men pulled a knife and tried to hit the victim on the neck. The young person fended off the attack with his arm and contracted a cut on the hand. As a result, he fled back to the supermarket, while one of the attackers briefly followed him. Despite intensive search measures by the police who were looking for the perpetrators, they were unsuccessful.

The Bernkastel-Kues police inspection is now looking for witnesses to the incident. The description of the main attacker is as follows: it is about 19 to 20 years old, has a size of 1.80 to 1.85 meters, longer, combined brown hair as well as a brown goat bar and schnauzer. He also spoke German with a light, possibly Eastern European accent and wore light outer clothing and a dark jacket.
