On May 2, 2025, the event program for the Lüdinghauser Stadtfest will be announced, which will already go into the eighth round of his open-air exhibition "Art in the Park" this year. The event will take place on September 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the picturesque park between the Burgen Lüdinghausen and Vischering. The artists and galleries can now apply until June 15, 2025. Admission is free and it is expected that many visitors will enjoy the relaxed open-air atmosphere.

This year a trio of local organizers - the adult education center (VHS), the Kulturforum Kaktus and the district of Coesfeld. This cooperation is a premiere that the goal of lifting the event to new heights. Inspired by the Enscheder model "Art in Het Volkspark", "Art in the Park" should make art experienced for everyone: to look at, touch and take with you.

As part of this year's edition, both professional and amateur artists have the opportunity to present their works to a broad audience. The works of art are to be presented in a way that promotes interactive experiences and enables visitors to interact directly with the works of art.

A better overview of the practical conditions for the exhibitors is important. Every artist and every gallery is preserved a covered stand, the dimensions of which include a eaves height of 1.80 m and a ridge height of 2.30 m. A table surface of 1 m x 4 m is provided, while the artists have to bring their own tables, relays and chairs. A bad weather alternative is not intended; It is therefore recommended to bring tarpaulin as protection for art. Independent stands or pavilions are not allowed.

A highlight of the event is the award ceremony, in which a jury will evaluate the stands and choose the best artist. The winner will receive a prize money of 500 euros and the option of participating in the Art Vischering from October 29, 2023 to November 26, 2023. The organizers also ensured food that includes warm catering, a coffee bike and several drink stands. Exhibitions receive vouchers for meals.

The event also has logistical aspects in mind. The set-up time is planned from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., but a car access is only allowed for certain exhibitors. The art transport is supported by employees of the Coesfeld district, while parking facilities are provided nearby.

"Art in the Park" emphasizes the connection between art and nature that has existed for centuries. Numerous museums already show that art can play an important role not only indoors, but also outdoors.
