On December 30, 2024, ASEAG announced that comprehensive adjustments in the timetable will be made on January 1, 2025. The changes affect several lines and school buses and are mainly required by construction sites and the need to improve connections. The updated departure times and line paths can already be viewed on the official website of ASEAG. On New Year's Day, the buses start as usual from 9 a.m.

The adjustments include line 30, which is compressed between Adenauerallee and Hüls/Eulershof from Monday to Friday. Line 31 is converted to a full-day 30-minute cycle between the Elisenbrunnen and Lautenheide. For line 43, all trips from Laurensberg towards Elisenbrunnen and University Hospital at Aachener Bushof stop at H.15 stop, the trip through the Bushof is no longer available. Line 48 is also changed: it will in future drive over Marienstraße instead of via Indestrasse to the Bushof, making a direct connection to the pedestrian areas. In addition, the EW4 line is shorter and runs mainly from St. Jöris/Aue to the Bushof.

A new line, line 58, is set up between the Bushof and the Eschweiler Central Station and offers quick connections and transfer options. Line 51 will now extend its afternoon frequency of 10 minutes to the morning (from around 8 a.m.); The 15-minute cycle between Würselen and Alsdorf remains. Line 52 must be redirected due to construction sites between Aachen and Eschweiler. In addition, the demand on line 58 (two -case - Breinig - Venwegen) is reduced, which leads to their loss.

Lines 46 and 61 are subject to changes due to a large construction site in Venwegen, which will last until the end of 2025. Line 85 in Kalterherberg beyond Oberdorf will be extended to the new “Kleinfranzreich” terminal office, while line 173 is extended from Brand Vennbahnbogen to Niederforstbach. Furthermore, the travel times in the Simmerath and Monschau area are adapted, whereby more precise information can be found in the new timetables.

The express bus lines experience a renaming into "x plus line number" for the main traffic times; For example, the 125 becomes X25 and 147 to the X47. Faster buses that run all day and on their own routes remain under the name "SB + Line number". In order to make the changes visible, around 150 out of 3000 stops will be updated by the signage, which takes place over a longer period of time. The first new signs have already been attached to Roetgen, Monschau and Simmerath and apply from the big timetable change.

In Baesweiler, the stop "In der Schaf" in "Baesweiler Bushof" is renamed, while the "Rathaus" stop becomes "Citizens' Baesweiler". Further renams take place in Aldenhoven, Eschweiler, Herzogenrath, Stolberg and Würselen. Subsidies are exchanged over several weeks, and the new timetables will be posted publicly a few weeks before the timetable change.
