Blitz marathon in Trier: Where the pace controls are lurking today!

On January 2, 2025, extensive speed measurements will take place in the Trier, Luxembourg and Saarland region. Six different locations are intended for the controls, both in the morning and at noon. In the morning, the streets in Esch-sur-alzette (Rue de Luxembourg) and sheer (Route de Luxembourg) are measured. At lunchtime, the streets of Altwies (Route de Luxembourg) and Luxembourg (Rue des Aubépines) are put to the test. The B51 in Bitburg and the K133 in Konz are also installed on the A60 motorway.

In Saarland, between ad Friedrichsthal and Saarbrücken-Ludwigsberg on the BAB 623, as well as on the L 262 in Quierschied and the B 51 between Saarbrücken and Kleinblittersdorf, is checked. The authorities warn that surveillance can also be expected in other places.

  • over 70 km/h: 843.50 € - 2 points (3 months driving ban)

  • 41 - 50 km/h: € 348.50 - 2 points (1 month driving ban)
  • 51 - 60 km/h: € 508.50 - 2 points (1 month driving ban)
  • 61 - 70 km/h: € 633.50 - 2 points (2 months driving ban)
  • over 70 km/h: € 738.50 - 2 points (3 months driving ban)
In general, a driving ban generally only threatens only with a twice violation of 26 km/h or more within 12 months.
