The Bitburg police control took place in the context of intensive patrol activities, which were carried out last weekend. A total of seven drivers were found under the influence of narcotics. Six of these drivers were either under the influence of amphetamine or THC, while another driver refused the previous test. A driver had no valid driving license, and another car was on the road without insurance protection. In all of these cases, blood samples were removed and the onward journey was prohibited. A driver with a breath alcohol concentration in the borderline area was also caught in another traffic control, which also led to the prohibition of the onward journey.
