Attention creative minds: the largest handicraft fair in Saarbrücken!

The first creative and handicraft fair "Saarbrücken creative" took place in the E-Werk in Saarbrücken last weekend. The event, which took place on February 22 and 23, 2025, offered space for national and international providers on over 2000 square meters of exhibition space. Visitors were able to look forward to an extensive offer in various subject areas, including tinkering, sewing, handicrafts, painting, drawing, handling, handicrafts and creative baking.  Tagesschau reports that the fair was a real highlight for creative minds.

The variety of products ranged from fashion, decorative and patchwork fabrics to short-spirited, wool and craft requirement to gemstones, jewelry and cake accessories. The event attracted hobby artists and handicrafts enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors had the opportunity to become active in various workshops and learn new handicraft trends and techniques without having to register beforehand. The fair was open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults had to pay 8.00 euros for admission, while schoolchildren and students paid 7.00 euros. Children under the age of 7 were able to participate free of charge. The afternoon tickets, which were available from 3 p.m. for 5.00 euros, were particularly attractive.

The journey to the fair was uncomplicated. Several bus connections from the Saarbrücken main station were available. So you could get bus line 108 in about 12 minutes to the “Westpark” stop, which is located directly in front of the E-Werk. Alternatively, the “Hochstraße” stop with lines 102 and 122 was reached in about 10 minutes, from where you only had to run 200 meters to the event location. Regional trains from Völklingen, Saarlouis and Trier also offered a simple connection. Here you had to get out at the Burbach station and reach the E-Werk after a short footpath.

The positive response and the large number of visitors speak for the success of the first edition of the "Saarbrücken creative". The event is a crucial component in the calendar of the handicraft and creative fairs in Germany and will certainly find many supporters. Over 2000 square meters of exhibition space and a wide range of workshops offer an exciting platform for all creative minds. The next edition is eagerly awaited, while trade fairs remain an important topic in the exhibition landscape in the area of ​​tinkering.
