Future opportunities for people with disabilities: successful conclusion in Treis!

The Moselle land workshops in Treis have made seven young people with disabilities possible a successful end to their vocational training. On the occasion of the certificate handover on January 7, 2025, the participants were given the opportunity to enter working life. These training offers are aimed specifically at people with disabilities and are offered at the locations Treis, Ebernach and Niederfell.

During their time in the Moselle landing workshops, the trainees made various their own workpieces, including a recipe book, a sports emblem, a board game and a wooden shelf. Vocational training enables the participants to learn comprehensive skills and play an active role in working life, as also reports the Mosellandwerkstätten .

structure of vocational training

The vocational training area of the Moselle land workshops promotes the self -determined participation of people with disabilities in working life. During the entire measure, the participants are accompanied by an educational person who is responsible for the implementation of professional education. A core target of the training is to convey the necessary knowledge and skills to the participants through practical training and individual support.

In addition, there is a structured input procedure that usually takes three months and gives the participants a first insight into the facility. The essential aspects include determining the suitability for the workshop and the identification of suitable work areas by diagnostic methods. After completing this procedure, the individual further professional qualification is determined in an educational planning interview. After two years of intensive training in theoretical and practical areas, the participants receive a certificate for their services that certify the successful completion of the educational measure.
