The last statistics of the VHS shows that in 2023 around 3,500 participants took part in 335 offers. Hybrid formats that are offered both online and in presence proved to be successful. There has also been an increasing interest in streamings since autumn. Special lectures also reach your audience in a targeted manner. The VHS has continued recovery after pandemic and a satisfactory utilization of its offers.

popular courses and challenges

The most sought-after courses are cooking, language and health courses. The sourdough courses by the retired master baker Bernd Beringer are particularly successful. The demographic development shows that the audience of the VHS tends to be older, while there are challenges to address young adults in the family foundation phase.

The courses of the VHS take place not only in the sandstone building opposite the Congress Forum, but also at other locations such as in Schlossergasse, schools and gyms. Ulrike Rudek expressed the desire to fill the bookcase in the foyer and to be perceived in public.
