New wind for the Kreis-FWG: Anette Kloos takes over!

On January 28, 2025, Anette Kloos was elected as the new chairman of the Free Voting Community (FWG) in the Germersheim district. She replaces Michael Braun at the top after around 13 years. Braun, who is also the mayor of Rülzheim and chairman of the Braun’s foundation, no longer competed for professional and private reasons. Under its leadership, the FWG has experienced many changes, and now Kloos is ready to take on this task.

This decision was made in a mutually agreed meeting in which all board members were unanimously elected. Steffen Weiß from Wörth will be the second chairman as the second chairman, while Armin Lutzke from Germersheim takes over the management and Dieter Godyniak from Bellheim acts as treasurer.

about the free voters

Free voters see themselves as an alternative offer of elections to the established parties and focus on factual orientation. Their first national association was founded in 2010 to establish a nationwide organizational structure. Since then, this organization has participated in federal and European elections and has developed a permanent place in the political landscape of Germany over the decades. The free voters in southern Germany are particularly represented, especially in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.

The roots of the free voters go back to the period after the Second World War, when the first municipal voters were launched. There was a continuous increase in memberships and election successes. For example, the "FW Free Voters Bayern e.V." In 2008 moved into the Bavarian state parliament with 10.2% and achieved further significant success in the subsequent elections in Bavaria.

political core concerns and developments

The political core motif of the free voters is factual orientation, deliberately differentiated from the established parties. In the fundamental program of 2012, value is placed on pragmatic politics, personal responsibility and market liberalism. In addition, the free voters are committed to municipal self -government, direct democracy and a strengthening of the regions at European level.

The FWG has also emerged through its nominations for the office of Federal President, for example with Alexander Hold 2017 and Stefanie Gebauer 2022. To date, the Federal Association has referred to around 280,000 members in various voters, which further consolidates its influence in German politics.

The new era under Anette Kloos' leadership could be groundbreaking for the development of the FWG in the district of Germersheim. Their commitment will be decisive in order to effectively represent the property of the voters' community in the future and to continue the successful history of the FWG.
