This reports Rheinpfalz .
A guided hike under the direction of Gerhard Reddmann will mark the start. The hike to the "Große Bellheimer" begins at 10.30 a.m. at the Schützenhaus in Bellheim. Here the participants meet to explore the beauties of nature together and learn more about the region from Reddmann.
newly marked hiking trails
A special highlight of the season is the newly marked hiking trails that will celebrate official opening. Particularly noteworthy is the “Große Bellheimer” circular hiking trail, which combines nature and regional identity perfectly. In particular, the cylinder signet, which is reminiscent of the advertising figure "Lord" of the Bellheim brewery, points out. The path leads through forests, past the historical desert Friedrichsbühl to the Zeiskamer Mühle and offers a varied landscape. The way back extends through sandwies and along the forest cemetery.
The hike takes about four hours. Participants are advised to wear weather -appropriate clothing because the event takes place in the open air. The participation fee is ten euros and eight euros for pupils and students. Children up to 14 years are allowed to participate free of charge, while Pfalzcard owners also do not have to pay admission. Registrations must be made by March 27, since the number of participants is limited.
hiking retirement in Germany
hiking not only enjoys increasing popularity in Bellheim, but also in Germany. According to Statistics of the German Alpine Association, about 39 million people in Germany regularly hike. This number rose from 35 million in 2014 to 39 million in 2021. Over half of the wandering is older than 50 years, while more than six million between 30 and 39 years hike at least occasionally. The main motif for many is the experience of nature.
Overall, it shows that hiking is one of the most popular activities for holidaymakers in Germany. With the revival of the season in Bellheim, hiking enthusiasts can benefit directly from the beauty of the landscape.
