Unforgettable skiing in Obertauern: experiences that inspire!
In the early morning of February 1, 2025, the Ski Club Lingenfeld (SSC) started its tenth anniversary trip to Obertauern. At 0:30 a.m., the coach started moving under the direction of Wolfi, the driver of the day. Rainer Ackermann, as a tour guide on board, ensured that all 26 participants, consisting of 13 members and 13 non -members, were well looked after.
The arrival in Obertauern took place shortly before 8:00 a.m. at the lift station, which opened for the group an hour earlier. This made it possible for the ski enthusiasts to start the snow without delay. As a greeting, all participants received various gifts, including an SSC buff, a soggle for the ski glasses and special Obertauern buffs for the newcomers to welcome them in the alpine environment.
ski action and learn on the slopes
In the first two days, the beginners learned to drive themselves on the level and later the first curves, led by the experienced ski instructor Frieda Geimer. On the third day, two of the beginners managed to master the blue slope. The remaining 20 participants enjoyed their driving pleasure in small groups and took breaks in various huts in between. The après-ski program started every day at 4 p.m. in the Lürzer Alm, followed by community dinner in the hotel.
The participants used some evenings to visit the Latschenalm and the Gruber-Stadl. The Gruberstadl, located in the center of Obertauern and directly on the Edelweiß slope, offered a wide range of events. There were not only delicious Austrian specialties such as oven potatoes and soups, but also a lively atmosphere with live bands and a "happy hour" until 02:00 a.m.
positive memories and outlook
The return trip to Lingenfeld was planned for Saturday at 4:00 p.m., with an arrival at around 11:16 p.m. The participants look back on four eventful skiing days in Obertauern and review the positive memories of the common experiences. A possible successor tour for the next year is already planned to continue to experience common ski adventures.
The organization of such ski bus trips is supported, for example, by the WSV. There, groups benefit from complete planning, which not only includes arrival, but also accommodation, ski pass and support - an attractive option that enables relaxed and environmentally conscious travel design. In this way, the participants can enjoy the advantages of the mountains without stress and annoying search for a parking space and network with like -minded people right at the beginning of the trip.
Overall, the anniversary trip of the SSC Lingenfeld to Obertauern was a complete success, which leaves permanent impressions and encourages the anticipation on future trips.
