FCK fans celebrate New Year: An evening full of tradition and nostalgia!

FCK fans celebrated their first New Year's reception in Steinalben on January 7, 2025. The event was organized by the fan regions of Southwest Palatinate and Kaiserslautern/Sickinger Höhe and was sold out. The journey to the Moosalbhalle was decorated with numerous FCK signs. The law enforcement service contributed.

The program included appearances by Betzi and FCK legends. Among other things, the popular Betze sausage and musical contributions, which included the Palatinate song, took care of the physical well-being. A special highlight was offered with the master shell from the 1990/91 season, which was available for photo campaigns. The event came up with 65 fan clubs and over 3500 members in the two regions. The idea for the New Year's reception has been discussed for a long time and Steinalben was chosen because of its central location, whereby the organization was carried out by the FCK fan club "loyal lucifer".

social and cultural contributions from FCK fans

The income of the event benefits the SOS Children's Village Kaiserslautern. In addition, paintings with FCK motifs were auctioned in favor of the Rwanda aid. During a can throw, the participants were able to show their skills with logos from KSC and Waldhof Mannheim, and signed jerseys were also auctioned. In the FCK Museum, memorials were exhibited, including Ronnie Hellström, and autographs by Sepp Stabel, a former goalkeeper. The wooden devil sculptures, which the artist Stefan Niederlechner contributed to the fan club "Luschdische Alde Deibel", represented an artistic highlight.

Due to the positive response, a repetition of the event was promised. Among the fans there were lively discussions about playing players and current rumors, while the community repeatedly emphasized that the FCK would never go down.

As part of the FCK fan regions, the Kusel fan region has also established itself as part of the FCK fan regions, which currently comprises 20 fan clubs with almost 1,000 members. This region has initiated various social engagements, including support campaigns for the FCK Fanclub from Lebenshilfe Kusel and the association "Children of Polessje - a future according to Tschernobyl e.V.". In addition, the first International FCK fan festival took place at Lichtenberg Castle in June 1993, in which the motto "FCK fans for Europe" was in the foreground, as the official FCK page reports.
