on Saturday evening, January 12, 2025, there was a tragic fire in an apartment building in the east of Kaiserslautern, in which a 68-year-old woman died. Neighbors noticed dense smoke and immediately alerted the fire brigade. During the extinguishing work, the emergency services finally discovered the dead resident in her attic apartment. A crew of 19 firefighters and five emergency vehicles was on site to combat the fire and prevent possible spread.
Over 8 people lived in the apartment building affected, and according to initial assessments, the other apartments have largely remained intact.
