Spring reading walk in the Japanese garden: poems and tea enjoyment!
In the Japanese Garden of Kaiserslautern, a special reading walk will take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025, which is organized by the well -known duo, consisting of the Palatinate Theater actor Rainer Frei and the author Madeleine Giese. This spring -like edition of the reading walk has its roots in a premiere from 2022 and was designed on the occasion of the 25th birthday of the garden. The literary walk begins at 11 a.m. and lasts about 1.5 hours.
During the walk, the participants are guided through an impressive route, which leads from Buddah's feet over the mountain garden and the water landscapes to the historic tea house on the Koi pond. On the way, visitors can expect various poems, including haikus, as well as exciting prose and informative background stories about the temporary scenes of the garden. After the walk, a tea round is planned that will be rounded off the day in a harmonious way.

A registration is required for participation, since the maximum number of participants is limited to 45 people. The costs are € 10.00 for club members and € 20.00 for non -members, which offers visitors a valuable experience in the beautiful backdrop of the Japanese garden.
about the duo wording
Rainer Frei, born in Neuwied and grew up in Kirn on the nearby, studied German studies, anglistics and philosophy in Mainz. With over 30 years of experience in permanent engagement, he has been part of the ensemble of the Palatinate Theater since 2001. His best -known roles include characters such as Faust, Willy Loman and Macbeth. Frei was awarded the German Acting Prize and the Dietrich Oppenberg Media Prize.
his partner in this creative project, Madeleine Giese, comes from Lebach in Saarland and completed her studies at the University of Music and Theater in Saarbrücken. She has established herself as a freelance author since 2002 and published numerous works, including five crime novels and plays for children and adults. She has also been a permanent radio play author for the ARD radio crime scene since 2009.
The reading walk in the Japanese garden not only promises literary flights of height, but also offers the opportunity to experience the impressive nature and cultural history of the garden. With drinking a tea together, the participants can end the day relaxed while they reflected on the impressions of what they have experienced.
