The cultural market in the fruit hall in Kaiserslautern is causing discussions this year because the opening hours have been greatly reduced. From now on, the market is only open from Thursday to Sunday in the four weeks of Advent. This decision was justified by the city, which indicates a weak frequency during the week. The aim of this measure is to make the event more attractive for visitors and exhibitors. However, the majority of the 13 permanent exhibitors see this step critically.

The event will take place for the 43rd times in 2025 and is distributed over the weekends of the Advent season. This year, the cultural market opens in the periods from November 27 to November 30, 4 to December 7, December 11 to December 14th and from December 18 to December 21. The opening times, except on Saturday, on the four days from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., even from 10:00 a.m.

The cultural market offers a wide range of products, including handicrafts, unique and gift ideas. The available goods include ceramics, jewelry, light objects, candles, soaps as well as leather goods and fashion. A café area and a Christmas bistro are also available to offer visitors a pleasant atmosphere. During the event there is regular changes of exhibitors, so that both well -known and new faces are represented.

A total of 34 stands are available, although around 90 exhibitors were recently represented on the market. Interested exhibitors can apply for a status by April 15, 2025 at the city administration of Kaiserslautern, Culture presentation.
