Long night of culture: diversity and highlights in Kaiserslautern!
On June 22, 2025, the long night of culture will take place again in Kaiserslautern. This special event promises a variety of cultural highlights, distributed over 30 different venues in the city. Over 100 offers are available to visitors until the early hours of the morning, including music, dance, visual arts and much more.
The fruit hall, as in previous years, will be a central venue. Here the dancing ensemble "Edelweiß" with its performances will bring the magic of Spain on stage. In addition, the Pulsar Trio will provide a special atmosphere with a unique combination of synthesizers, sitar, surbahar and electronic sounds.

Another highlight of the evening will be the dance group "Fealla-Dhà", which inspires the audience with Irish-Dance. The Lautr Cultural Prize winner 2024, Michael Halberstadt, will present his own indipop songs with his band, followed by rapper David Asphalt. The latter with his third solo album in the hip-hop scene caused a lot of attention.
The end of the spectacular drum performance "1000 beats per minute", which combines solo percussion with projection and language. This merger of music and performance shows the high artistic quality of the event and promises unforgettable experiences.
new venues and interesting collaborations
For the long night of culture, new venues have been added. These include the Palatinate Library of Kaiserslautern, the Irish House, the Kabinett K2, Sukura 99, the Marienkirche and the FCK exhibition "Football fever". This expansion of the venues offers visitors an even wider range of cultural experiences.
The program is not only supported by established facilities such as the MPK, the Palatinate Theater and the Emmerich-Smola music school, but also by numerous actors of the free scene. These include the Kulturverein Pälzer Bagage e. V. and the Union studio for film art. The Japanese garden is also participated as a cooperation partner, which also enriches the cultural spectrum.
Mayor Manfred Schulz and Christoph Dammann, director of the Culture presentation, were enthusiastic about the extensive program and thanked the artists and sponsors such as Wipotec GmbH for their commitment. Particularly noteworthy is the long-night bus of the SWK, which will drive through the city as "the moving sound sound" with the latest sound technology and live music.
