On January 29, 2025, a meeting of the local committee for sports and security took place in the Kaiserslautern town hall. The chair was in the hands of Mayor Manfred Schulz, supported by police director Ralf Klein. FC Kaiserslautern (FCK) to discuss urgent topics on the traffic situation around Betzenberg.
The focus of the discussion was a traffic report presented by Christian Ruhland. This expert opinion recorded both legally and illegally parked vehicles during the home games of the FCK. As part of the investigation, the association's mobility surveys and knowledge from expert workshops were also taken into account. The aim of this work was to create a list of traffic optimization measures.
Current traffic problems and parking situation
Another focus was on the trip of the Free Kantstrasse for fan buses. The exchange via an expansion of the parking space for these buses was also on the agenda. The utilization of the P&R area of Schweinsdell was also discussed to optimize the parking space offer and minimize waiting times.
