Unemployment in Koblenz shows a noticeable increase at the end of 2024. Currently there are 4,064 people without work, which corresponds to an increase of 114 people compared to November and 225 is more than in December 2023. The official unemployment rate for men is 6.6 percent, while women perform slightly better at 6.1 percent. Young people under the age of 25 whose unemployment rate is 4.7 percent and older job seekers between the ages of 55 and 64 are particularly affected with a rate of 6.5 percent. Foreigners are strongly overrepresented with an unemployment rate of 14.1 percent.
