Last weekend a remarkable benefit concert took place in Rheinbrohl in favor of the Koblenz women's shelter. Organized by the Rheinbrohl football club, the event moved numerous guests to the local heart of Jesus Church. Jörg Labonde took over the moderation, while a varied musical program was performed in which the youth chamber choir of the Singerschule Koblenz and the Rheinische Philharmonie State Orchestra took part. Juliane Kathary, who acted as regional cantor and artistic director of the Koblenz Singing School, had the musical direction. A total of an impressive 10,000 euros were donated, with the Rotary Club doubling the amounts collected.

This sum not only benefits the Koblenz women's shelter, which offers women in difficult life situations, but was also distributed to other facilities such as the Koblenz Hospice Association and the Caritas House Eulenhorst in Metternich. After the concert, a symbolic donation was handed over, in which several representatives of supporting organizations took part. Dr. Achim Tieftrunk, chairman of the Singerschule Koblenz, described the event as a positive signal for the community.

The commitment of the Römerwall School, which actively participated in the benefit concert, is particularly noteworthy. Pupils of the 10th grade worked under the direction of art teacher Lester Corea on an art project in which discarded elementary school chairs were transformed into creative works of art. A chair, decorated with motifs by the artistic genius of Salvador Dalí, achieved a proud 200 euros at the auction. The entire proceeds of the auction went to the Koblenz women's shelter and underlines the active school community, which takes responsibility beyond lessons.

The Koblenz women's shelter is an important facility that offers protection and help for women and their children who suffer from violence or threat. It not only offers accommodation, but also advisory services and support that go beyond the direct stay. This continuous support is crucial, especially in times when the need for help and protection increases.
