Big championship celebration in Koblenz: 678 graduates celebrate their success!
On April 8, 2025, the championship celebration of the Koblenz Chamber of Crafts took place in the Rhein-Mosel-Halle on the occasion of the 125th anniversary. With a record number of 678 graduates from 26 different countries of origin, the chamber celebrated the performance of its master candidates. The event, which attracted over 1,200 guests, emphasized the colorful diversity and commitment in German craft.
The master's certificates were presented to representatives from 25 different craft professions, which underlines the width of the manual know-how. Even in times of economic challenges - there has been the longest recession for 20 years - the master's examination is still a central incentive for many to found or take over their own company.
heterogeneous graduate group
The graduates mostly came from Syria, followed by Russia and Kazakhstan. It is particularly noteworthy that the majority of the master graduates are aged 29. The youngest young champion was just 20 years old, while the oldest graduate was already 52 years old.
The profession of optician and the roofing trade provided most of the master candidates. A total of 18% of the master's letters went to women, which is 122 out of 678. These figures illustrate the growing proportion of women in the craft and the progressive equality in traditional male-dominated professionals.
awards and honors
A highlight of the celebration was the honor of the 20 best graduates, with confectioner Nina Paulus stuck out with the best examination result. Cash premiums of 3,000 euros were awarded for the three best examination results. In addition, the master baker Marcel Hartmann received a special prize from the IKK Südwest.
The keynote speaker Jörg Dittrich addressed responsibility within the family of crafts and criticized the bureaucracy and the lack of practitioners in political bodies. These points illustrate the challenges with which the craft is confronted, especially in times when the economic situation raises questions.
attractiveness of master training in change
Despite the current economic uncertainties, the master's examination shows a positive trend: the current economic situation has an increase of 11% in start -ups. This development can partially be attributed to the improved conditions of funding by the promotion BAföG, which make master training more attractive. The master's certificate enables not only independent corporate management, but also the training of apprentices and free access to universities in Rhineland-Palatinate.
to prepare for the master examination, the master academy offers professional support. Latest innovations such as the Aevo app complement the lessons and enable flexible learning opportunities, both offline and online. The virtual classroom promotes exchange between lecturers and participants and facilitates access to teaching materials.
Overall, the championship celebration of the Koblenz Chamber of Crafts shows that the master tests not only represent a personal performance, but also play an important role in the economic and social structure of Germany. Handwerkblatt reports of these developments and highlights the entire range of events.
The master's examination is also a prerequisite for self -employment in 53 handicrafts subject to admission, which further sharpens the relevance of these exams in the economic landscape.
