Attention music talents: The POP RLP Masterclass starts in Koblenz!

On April 30, 2025, the "Pop RLP Masterclass" in Koblenz will open with a kick-off event on May 10th and 11th. During this event, the participants' showcase performance will also take place. This twelve-month coaching program is aimed at young, ambitious artists and bands with semi-professional structures. The participants receive targeted support from well -known producers and managers from the music industry in order to promote their career.

The "Pop RLP Masterclass" aims to make it easier to get started with the music industry. It not only offers coaching options, but also a valuable network that grows through cooperation with industry experts and regional sponsorship institutions. The program places a special focus on developing professional working methods and strengthening the structures within the music industry.

coaching phase and infrastructure

From May to July there is an intensive coaching phase in which the participants work on topics such as Artist Identity and Branding. Afterwards, studio days with professional experts are on the plan. This enables the artists to develop themselves not only artistically, but also economically. The infrastructure includes access to studios and even tour buses, which is invaluable for many newcomers.

A special highlight of the "POP RLP Masterclass" is the Wild-Card participation in the Pop initiative for one of the artists of the act. Promising talents can be integrated directly into the active music scene. The funding is carried out by the Rhineland-Palatinate Lotto Foundation, the I’M Sound Versicherung and the Ministry of Women, Family, Culture and Integration.

The prerequisites for the application are clearly defined: solo artists and bands, of which at least half of the members live in Rhineland-Palatinate or prove a reference to the region, can apply. In addition, the artists have to present their own music and have an existing development potential and a live performance set.

The coaching pool that accompanies the participants consists of experienced players in the music industry in Germany. The POP RLP Team organizes and supports the program, which also includes individual support timetables and intensive cooperation with professional coaches. Workshops for artistic work, economic development and performance agencies are also part of the offer. In addition, the production of high-quality live music videos in the form of POP RLP Masterclass live sessions is promoted.
