Stefan Pellmaier brings Easter message to Brixen with A promise for the sky
On April 5, 2025, a remarkable event will take place in the Freinadetz Church in Milland, Brixen: Stefan Pellmaier’s Passion "A promise for heaven". In a unique collaboration with the band "Luz Amoi" and the poetry artist Sarah Marie from Koblenz, a piece is listed that transports the 2000-year-old Easter message to the here and now. The event begins at 7.30 p.m. and will take about two hours, including a short break. Tickets are available online at www.mytix.bz as well as at the box office.
The band "Luz Amoi" and Stefan Pellmaier are known for their more than 20 years of experience on the stages in Bavaria and beyond. After the successful Christmas concert in December 2023, which celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Christmas concerts, this is the first big performance in 2025. The program will be shaped by music, poetry and light and video installations and deals centrally with the last days of Jesus Christ and his resurrection to keep this profound message alive.
modern concept with multimedia staging
The concept of the passion is modern and multimedia designed, with a special sound and lighting. This innovative format is intended to captivate the audience and enables the deep content of the Christian message to be conveyed in a contemporary way. Sarah Marie, who has published her second volume of poems, will bring an additional dimension to the performance through her art. Her poetry complements the music of Pellmaier and Luz Amoi, which recently celebrated that in autumn 2024 she will host her 20th anniversary with a new secular program that also has many surprises.
The connection of music and literature in an artistic framework shows the importance of cultural events today. It is believed that this form of art plays an important role in reducing the distance between younger generations into religious practice. At a recent conference in the Vatican, which dealt with the Holy Year and the “Jubilee of the Artists”, it was particularly emphasized how important it is to trace religious experiences back to cultural reality. The participants, including managers and curators, signed a manifesto that campaigns for a universal religious code of peace and hope, which underlines the relevance of events such as that of Pellmaier.
Through such important cultural events it becomes clear how art and religion can interact in society. With their passion, Stefan Pellmaier and "Luz Amoi" make a significant contribution to the further spread and convey of the Christian faith, which is also important in the modern world.
