From 2027, new light rail cars are planned without fold -out steps, which means that the platform height has to be increased from 38 to 94 cm. There are special challenges at the Max-Eyth-Straße stop, where there is a suspected suspicion point that requires a vibration-free removal of the stairs. The first construction work begins at the Stadtkrone-Ost stop, where the southern access spindle is dismantled. At the same time, a new stair tower will be replaced and a new bridge with feed from the Tirana path is built.
