Inclusive bouldering in Neustadt: Experience the long night of sport!
On May 9, 2025, the “Long Night of Bouldering” takes place in the Lilienthal sports park in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, organized by the “including adventure and experience sports” of TuS Lachen-Speyerdorf 1910 e. V. (see Pfalz-express.de ). The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and is aimed at sports -loving people, adventurers and all interested parties, regardless of their climbing experience.
As part of this event, a new inclusive bouldering project will be presented, which is funded by Aktion Mensch with more than 310,000 euros. This project, called "Bouldertreff Plus", aims to create an open and inclusive range of movements for adults with and without impairments. The focus is on personal development and participation, supported by educational specialists.
a diverse program for everyone
The event is accompanied by a varied program that includes bouldering challenges, sports games such as spike ball, slackline and Vikingschach as well as musical contributions. A special highlight will be the campfire where the participants can come together. In addition, homemade pizza is offered on a donation basis.
The including the Boulder project of the TuS Lachen-Speyerdorf, which started on April 1, 2025, expands the existing offer and promotes encounters from adults with and without disabilities. Bouldering, a form of climbing at jump height, is used here as a central element to promote the exchange and community.
joint activities and workshops
In addition to bouldering activity, various workshops on topics such as nutrition and stress management are planned. The cooperation with Lebenshilfe Neustadt and the Wichern workshops is intended to improve access to leisure activities and promote an inclusive community. A “screwdriver meeting”, in which the participants shape climbing routes together, is also offered.The inclusive leisure activities that focus here is promoted the social participation, self -determination and the reduction of barriers for people with and without disabilities. (see without-barrieren.de ). It enables people to discover their skills, to close new friendships and to reduce social prejudices.

The event is not only a sporting challenge, but also an opportunity to promote barrier -free approaches and activities. A respectful atmosphere as well as necessary equipment such as ramps and special sports equipment are important. The exchange with other participants should strengthen the self -confidence of the participants and promote acceptance in society.
